LEGO®: The Great Build is designed to use the wonder of LEGOs® to introduce campers to the world of design and structural engineering. If your child loves to create, dream, and build this camp is for them! LEGOs® are the perfect way to introduce campers to the world of structural engineering with scaled down projects. This camp will use an “explore it, design it, test it” model to allow campers to be as imaginative as they please as they are challenged to build bridges, cities, and even their own physical fairytale. They will love seeing their creations come to life!

Goals: 

• Learn basics of structural engineering
• Encourage creative collaboration while allowing for individual development and exploration 
• Learn to plan and execute ideas 

Mega Machines will provide campers with the resources and instruction to explore the concepts of mechanics, physics, and design. Using LEGOs®, the campers will appreciate the importance of simple machines and attention to detail as they execute the creation of super large structures! Not only will campers need to work together and follow instructions, they will also be able to get inventive with their creations as they uncover what needs to be done to execute their design.
