Summers at Pennington delivers the highest quality, innovative summer programs for youth in the Mercer County area, which includes Princeton and Hopewell. We bring the values, character, and expertise of The Pennington School to summer experiences. And a day camp for younger children with exciting weekly themes!

Summers at Pennington programs are designed for children in middle and high school. We take the same student-centered approach that we apply in our classrooms and focus on each camper in our summer programs. We understand the need for specialized camps created just for teenagers (and pre-teens) who want to dive more deeply into subjects in which they are interested.

Our camps focus on having fun while teaching each participant essential skills they need for creative problem-solving in the real world. Campers will collaborate, innovate, and develop the skills of good sportsmanship, resilience, and leadership. Programs include Sports and Wellness, Technology/STEM, Visual and Performing Arts, Academic Enrichment courses, Outdoor Adventure, and more. All summer programs incorporate the Pennington School's core values of honor, virtue, and humility and are developed by our highly regarded faculty members and industry leaders.

Summer camps/programs are the perfect time for your children to branch out and try something new, discover their passions, or step out of their comfort zones. In order to develop resilience, children need to take risks. We want your children to challenge themselves, try something new, and dive deep into areas that interest them! Whatever their talents and hobbies, once your children arrive at The Pennington School, they will feel immediately at home and become actively involved in being a part of an amazing summer experience.

Camp Philosophy

We believe that summer is a time for young people to explore their interests, try something new, and step outside their comfort zones — all while having a great time. Pennington summer programs help campers to learn and develop new skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our vision for summer programs at The Pennington School is to take the elements that we all love from time-honored summer camp traditions and put a modern and innovative spin on them. We design our programs for our campers and their interests using the core concepts and principles of experiential and student-centered learning while adding a healthy dose of excitement and fun.

Summers at Pennington specializes in summer programs for middle school to early high school-aged students (10-15 years old) as well as a traditional day camp for younger children. We believe summer offers a great time for children to develop healthy habits and to help foster their creativity, inspire their interests, and hone in on their desire to learn and grow.
